Today's Gospel: Matthew 13:36-43
The Church (like the rest of the world) is made up of good and bad people. Because of our God-given free well, we can chart our own path. It’s been that way since the beginning of time, and will be until the end.
In this Gospel reading, Jesus speaks to this reality of the good and the bad with a gardening parable. If we are good seed, we will stay rooted in Christ by living God’s will for our lives and promoting the Kingdom of God. Those who turn away from God and encourage others to sin will pay for it at the final judgment. The angels will gather up the bad seed and cast it into the fire.
Hold fast to the Truth like your eternal life depends on it, because it does!
Ponder:
Do I feed my faith daily with prayer, scripture reading, and following where God leads?
Pray:
God, I know how much I need you, but sometimes I'm tired. Inspire, lead, and feed me as You will.
