Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.
Today's Gospel: Luke 10:21-24
'Tis the season for childlike trust. The belief children have is so simple and real that it seems magical, doesn’t it?
Jesus is so overwhelmed with the Father’s gracious will that bestows wisdom on little ones that He bursts into a spontaneous prayer of praise.
If we'd only look around and see all the proofs of God’s great love for us, we, too, would sing His praise. With eyes of faith, we can see God at work in our lives and know that all is being worked out for our good. Like a child who relies on his parent, we can trust our heavenly Father.
We have a personal God. He wills for us to know Him personally. He wishes to reveal Himself to us. We need only to have a childlike faith and a heart open to the incredible.
Then, we will be even more blessed than the apostles and prophets. For though we have not yet seen the face of Jesus, we see signs of His love. We hear His Word spoken through Scriptures. Sacraments fill us with grace. The Holy Spirit resides within us. He speaks to our hearts.
We need only to listen and believe.
Ponder:
How many signs of God's love will you find today? List them. Then give praise to God for them all.
Pray:
I give You praise, Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, for although You have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, You have revealed them to me, Your little child.
