Hendey](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/lisa-m-hendey) ![](https://static.hsstatic.net/BlogImporterAssetsUI/ex/missing-image.png)January's issue of "To Teach", the online magazine for Catholic educators published by the USCCB, is now online [here](http://www.usccbpublishing.org/client/client_pages/toteachJanuary2009.cfm). As always, the suggested activities for families are wonderful. This month's theme focuses on the issue of Immigration with the title "Renewing Hope".  My favorite activity for this month is this: *Attend [Mass](http://www.masstimes.org/dotnet/Default.aspx) with an immigrant community in your area and reflect on the experience with your children.* We have a large Spanish mass at our parish, attended by many immigrant families. It would be a great experience to attend that mass and then discuss as a family some of the suggested topics.  [Check out the rest of To Teach here](http://www.usccbpublishing.org/client/client_pages/toteachJanuary2009.cfm). ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F01%2F02%2Fjanuary-to-teach%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F01%2F02%2Fjanuary-to-teach%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F01%2F02%2Fjanuary-to-teach%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=January%20%22To%20Teach%22) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F01%2F02%2Fjanuary-to-teach%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F01%2F02%2Fjanuary-to-teach%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Lisa M.
