Hendey](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/lisa-m-hendey) ![](https://static.hsstatic.net/BlogImporterAssetsUI/ex/missing-image.png) The new "To Teach" newsletter for May, 2009 is now online at the USCCB website - [view it here](http://www.usccbpublishing.org/client/client_pages/toteachMay2009.cfm).  My favorite family suggestion for the month of May is the following: *In celebration of Mother’s Day, invite your children to affirm Mom as someone who imitates Mary very well. Read one of Pope Benedict XVI's spiritual thoughts on Mary every evening, and talk about Mary's qualities as examples for everyone. Finish each reading session with one of the prayers to Mary at the end of the book.* [To Teach May 2009](http://www.usccbpublishing.org/client/client_pages/toteachMay2009.cfm) ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F05%2F01%2Fto-teach-may-2009%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F05%2F01%2Fto-teach-may-2009%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F05%2F01%2Fto-teach-may-2009%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=To%20Teach%20-%20May%202009) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F05%2F01%2Fto-teach-may-2009%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2F2009%2F05%2F01%2Fto-teach-may-2009%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Lisa M.
