Meet twelve year old Blare Gooch, a Catholic elementary school student who's using his big heart to reach out to children suffering in Haiti after the earthquake. Blare is making the rounds on the media, looking to collect 2,000 teddy bears to send to the orphans and other children suffering in Haiti. Blare is well on his way to meeting his goal by March 15th - if you'd like to help by donating a new or gently used bear or funds to help with storage and shipping, contact Blare's mom Lisa or ship your bears to the following drop off locations:
St. Thomas the Apostle School, 1429 Wilcox Park Drive SE, and at Lisa Gooch's business, Hair Force, 1557 Michigan Ave. NE. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You can also connect with Blare Gooch via Facebook for additional information.
