We're reflecting on the third sorrowful mystery of the rosary today as part of our celebration of the launch of A Catholic Mother's Companion to Pregnancy.

Now that I have a boy of my own, the Crowning has a special sort of meaning for me. It was her boy's head they were marring and scarring. It was once at her breast, in her arms, snuggled against her chest. It had been covered in the soft fuzz of new babies and in the messy "stuff" of little boys.

As I pray this, my mother's heart aches a bit. I look at my own boy and imagine the sorrows ahead--don't we all have sorrow ahead? And how can I possibly help?

By turning to Mary and letting her lead me through it to her Son.

Our host today is Jen Steed at Happy Little Homemaker. You'll find my reflection on the MYSTERY there, as well as the prayers.

I hope you'll join us today--and each day of the tour--while we pray together for all of our intentions. I have a special set of intentions that I'm carrying with me as I pray this, and I will remember each of yours as well.

Don't forget that you can enter to win a Nook tablet as we pray and help us celebrate the launch of the latest title in the CatholicMom.com book line. You can enter once a day during from now until October 28.
