In general, I'm not a fan of having more things delivered to my inbox. It's quite full enough, thanks.

But there have been a few circumstances working to change my mind on this.

First, a few of my favorite blogs don't have their full feeds delivered to Google Reader.

That means I have to click through to read the posts, and I can't just read them from Google Reader. While I find this incredibly annoying (and it does keep me from reading every post, I'll admit it), I understand some of the reasons for it.

Second, I've found myself verrrrrry busy of late. I haven't had much time to read my favorite blogs, and when I declared RSS bankruptcy by marking all  of my items read last week, I realized I was missing one or two people.

I went back and actually caught up at their blogs, but then I found an easier way. (One of those blogs doesn't have the nifty "subscribe by email" button on it, so I needed to find a way to get it.)

Feed My Inbox lets you subscribe to your favorite RSS feeds and have them delivered to your inbox.

You can have up to five websites for free, and then there are a few payment options to get more.

I have actually used it for the comments of one of the blogs I love to visit and that I don't have time to go back and check all the time...I get the comments delivered each day in my inbox, and I can go through them and see what replies there are (or aren't).

I'm still guarding my inbox, but I love that I've found an easy way to feed my inbox with content I want.

Update: I just received word that Feed My Inbox is shutting down. I'm switching over to Blogtrottr, though, and will keep you posted.
