The consumeristic culture that surrounds us during Advent is hard to penetrate, and even more so for children, who are attracted to all the pretty, shiny things going on.
How do we slow down and help them understand the meaning of Advent, let alone Christmas?
By using a Jesse Tree, we can teach our kids to slow down and appreciate how long the world waited for the Birth of our Dear Lord. And in the meantime, they'll learn a little about how God planned our Salvation from the beginning of our history.
Today is Day 1 of our Jesse Tree. Our theme today is creation.

If you want directions for making your own ornaments, the history, the complete listing of, well, everything, then see The Jesse Tree at Domestic Vocation.
