Book Notes!

The recent package I received from Zonderkidz, the children's publishing division of Christian publisher Zondervan, made me wish for a "do over" with my sons. Inside it were several fantastic resources that are perfect for sharing the faith with your children.

Let me note up front that the books I'm going to share with you are not published by a Catholic entity. These are actually "story bibles", so the language has been re-written to make the books accessible for little ones. I strongly feel that these resources should be used in conjunction with a Catholic bible -- for example the New Catholic Children's Bible -- and that Mom or Dad should have his or her own Catholic bible on hand for reference when questions arise.

That being said, the books I'm about to share with you are simply lovely. The meld terrific, accessible writing with gorgeous illustrations to bring the Word to life. Zonderkids has even complimented the books with audio and video resources that will become treasured listening and viewing opportunities for your family. Today, I'm happy to share these books with you and invite your thoughts in the comment box about using children's bibles in your home.
