We're building a wonderful partnership with our friends at Catholic Relief Services and are happy to spread the news about their great work being done around the world. We'll be regularly sharing information and stories from both the FaithWorks section of CRS and their other initiatives as well. This week, I want to point you to the following stories that are sure to inspire:
Three year-old Saouda Keita is living in rented rooms near Bamako, Mali, with 16 other members of her family. CRS helps Saouda and thousands of others like the Keitas, who have fled their homes in Northern Mali.
- Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Mali as they endure escalated tensions. Please join us in prayer and support of our brothers and sisters in Mali, where a state of emergency has been declared.
- In a continuing look at "good Catholic news" around the world, Faithworks reports the advances in education for girls in Sub-Saharan Africa. Hooray!
- January 11 was Human Trafficking Day. See the faces of people who have survived being trafficked and find out how you can help.
- CRS takes a comprehensive approach to reducing hunger in Haiti through education, health and agriculture projects. Learn how women entrepreneurs are fighting hunger in South Haiti.
