Attention Teachers of First Communicants! Any teacher who is preparing their class for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are welcome to join our Global Learning Project, One in the Spirit: Sacramental Preparation Around the World.

Elizabeth Goold will receive her Master of Arts in Educational Technology in the spring of 2013 and has created a Global Learning Project in which 2nd grade students can compare and contrast their experience of preparation for their sacraments with that of their peers around the world.

Global Learning Projects are an exciting new way to teach students important curriculum pertaining to their grade level, but also integrate dynamic new technologies as well. Teaching students to collaborate and connect with other students is an important part of the educational process. Through participation in a Global Learning Project, we will connect and collaborate using technology as a way to reach our goal. The purpose of this project is for children throughout the world to come together and share the similarities and differences of their preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Ready for something wonderful? Register now!

Why should you join? Students should participate in this project because it will be their first step to collaborating within a global environment. They will see the community of Catholics extends far beyond their own parish, school and city. Each activity suggests opportunities for the students to deepen their relationship with God. The teacher is the one who will, primarily, be utilizing the technology.

How does this project work? Step 1: Register! Sign up and you can start right away!

We would love to have you participate in our project. Please join us as we get to know more about God and each other as we prepare for such an exciting year ahead.

The privacy of the students is extremely important. Please visit our Trust & Monitor Page to review our policy.
