Door Bells and God's Calling

How often does our doorbell ring? Every time it rings and we are home, we answer the door.

How often does God call on us to be the people He created with goodness and kindness in our hearts and our actions? How often do we answer God’s call to us?

God’s call doesn’t always sound like the ring of a door bell but it does signal us somehow. Many times His call is a quiet whisper in our mind that says “You really should do that or you really should not do that!” Sometimes we hear God’s voice loud and clear from other people but we choose to think “You Jesus Freak” and walk away as quickly as possible. Other times we hear God’s voice and choose to believe it is something else so we don’t have to do what He is asking of us.

God calls us constantly. It is our job to be listening for God’s signal and then go answer the door. Today and every day listen for that door bell.
