Welcome to Day 11 of the Small Steps Blog Tour! Our theme today is Gratitude.

SmallSteps(300x300)

You'll find today's "small steps" over at I Have to Sit Down. We invite you to join us throughout the day in offering a rosary reflecting on the Sorrowful Mysteries. It may seem to be counter-intuitive to have gratitude and the sorrowful mysteries paired together, but really, what better mysteries to have? (OK, any of them. True. But work with me here.) In these mysteries we face the biggest hurdle of life: death. And yet it is not a stopping point, but merely the beginning of something better. Without these mysteries, we don't have the glorious resurrection and ascension. We can't see Easter morning without Good Friday. And so, we pray.

The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary:

  • The Agony in the Garden
  • The Scourging at the Pillar
  • The Crowning with Thorns
  • The Carrying of the Cross
  • The Crucifixion
