I believe in God the Father Almighty, the maker of Heaven and Earth.
I believe in the Supreme Being who created the world and everything in it.
I believe he created me and knows every hair on my head and cares for me and knows what’s going on in my life.
I believe that he wants what’s best for me and is helping me and sits beside me and encourages me in the form of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. That He sends his angels and helpers to guide me and direct me.
I believe that in the end all will work out for the best and I will survive and succeed and it will all be worth it.
I believe that there is a reason for everything in my life, the good the bad and the ugly and that I am in a season of challenges, a season of difficulties, a season of suffering. I believe that I can use this season and not waste it.
I can accept all my sufferings with love and joy and offer it for the world, for my family stretching forward into generations and back into generations, to take one for the team, so to speak, and help them and help the world by my suffering. That I can be sure and trust in the very fiber of my being that God is good and He will prevail, that while He will allow my suffering, He will not allow me to be lost. That I don’t have to know everything and that I just have to look at everything, as my friend Glen says, “in the light of eternity.” And know that my suffering may help someone if I but use it for atonement.
I believe that just as every season of the year passes, this too shall pass and I don’t want to waste it. That I am going to do my best to be happy and be at peace, because my God has a plan for me and I am not alone and he will prevail and I will stay the course. And despite sometimes allowing fear and despair to take precedence, I believe that in the end hope and courage, perseverance and joy will overcome and I will run the race to the end.
“I believe that I shall see the bounty of the Lord in the land of the living.” I shall see the finish line of God’s glory and I will stay faithful and my faith shall not be shaken.
May God’s will be done, for I believe that I am here to serve.
