I wanted to share a great article that was written this week for MassLive.com detailing the wonderful women's event that I'll be attending this Saturday. The article shares my recent responses to an interview, but also those of my co-speakers:

  • Sister of St. Joseph Eleanor M. Spring, a former faculty member at Elms College in Chicopee, is now employed at Western Massachusetts Women’s Correctional Center in Chicopee as a group facilitator. Working with incarcerated or post-incarcerated women has become her passion. Her presentation is entitled “Led by a God of Surprise.”
  • Kerry A. Weber is the managing editor of America, the national, Catholic, weekly journal published by the Jesuits. She is the author of “Mercy In the City: How to Feed the Hungry, Give Drink to the Thirsty, Visit the Imprisoned and Keep Your Day Job.” She will speak about “Doing God’s Work at Ungodly Hours.”
If you live anywhere in the region, it's not too late to register to join us! Along with me at this event, you'll also have the chance to meet fellow CatholicMom.com contributors Patrice Fagnant-MacArthur, Tanya Weitzel and Allison Gingras, plus hopefully a few more surprise friends. Find more information online at  http://www.diospringfield.org/womensconf.html - I'd love to meet you there!
