Today's Gospel: John 3:1-8

Happy Easter! How fitting to read this Gospel just after Jesus saves us by his Passion, Death and Resurrection.  Nicodemus wanted to believe and so do we.  He wants to have the “spirit” and be “born again” so the he can enter the Kingdom and so do we.  When Jesus breathed his last on Good Friday, he broke all the bonds of sin and slavery, giving us new life, calling us to him and filling us with the Spirit.

When I read “The wind blows where it wills” I am reminded of a few things.  First, that salvation is for all.  Then, if you accept it, hold on because it can be a wild ride and next, it gives life to your being like nothing else.

Ponder:

Have I accepted the Spirit and allowed it to move in my life?

Pray:

Jesus, like Nicodemus I want to be born again and filled with the Spirit.  Help me accept the gift of salvation and allow your Spirit to move in my life so I may enter the Kingdom of God.  Amen.
