Editor's note: Today, we're happy to share about an upcoming film, "The Investigator". While I haven't personally screened this movie, The Dove Foundation offers an overview for families here. Pre-order your family's copy of the DVD here. LMH

Screen Shot 2014-07-07 at 6.58.43 PMDid Jesus exist?
Did he really do those miracles?
Did he actually die on the cross?
Was Jesus truly resurrected?
Is Jesus God?

These are questions many Catholics today are facing.

The Investigator is inspired by the true story of Rich Romano, brother of famed actor Ray Romano, who was faced with these exact questions in his own struggle with faith and the faith of his high school students.

Join us for this investigation and strengthen your community's faith as we come to DVD Nationwide September 9th.

Gabriel’s Messenger Films, LLC, the film’s production company, is a Catholic production company. The Investigator has been supported and promoted by NFCYM, NCCL, EWTN, Catholic TV, and each Diocese in the limited theatrical run cities last fall. The film also screened at NCYC for 1000 Catholic youth and sparked major discussion with teens and adult chaperons alike.

The Investigator provides an exceptional opportunity for parish communities to evangelize to non-Christians and Catholics who have fallen away. Viewing the film is also a great activity for R.C.I.A., high school, and young adult groups.

Here are several ways in which The Investigator could successfully be promoted for evangelization in your community:

  • Share The Investigator trailer or website on your home page and/or calendar of events.
  • Promote the film through social media, encouraging Catholics to see the film and share it with friends and family members.
  • Write a review of the film or publish release info in your Diocesan newspaper and e-newsletters in September.
  • Share the news with clergy and youth pastors, encouraging them to introduce the film in their weekly bulletin Sunday 9/7 or 9/14.
