Today's Gospel: Luke 1: 46-56

Mary prays the Magnificat and give us a beautiful prayer. In the longest Bible passage with the spoken word of Mary, we see her humility and joy, as well as her unending trust in the Lord. A good and loyal servant of God, Mary proclaims the truth of God and brings hope to all generations down through the years. The prayer is a beacon of hope to the sorrowing and to those who are downtrodden. We would do well to pray this prayer often, to raise our souls in union with Mary, and to rejoice in the goodness of the Lord. God is good, praise His Holy name.

Ponder:

Does my prayer life sometimes become a litany of requests to God? Do I need to remember to praise God for all the goodness He has done in my life?

Pray:

God, I love you and thank you for the blessings you have bestowed upon me. No matter the situation I find myself in, if I look, you are always there. You are my staff and my shield. I will always trust in you.
