I have been on a pickling spree lately. This time of year we have a lot of fresh produce, cucumbers, tomatoes and such. I thought it would be kind of cool to pickle some cherries.
When it was all said and done I wondered what to do with all those cherries I pickled. I thought of a Martini with its briny olive, then thought these cherries would be a great twist to a Manhattan.
This classic Manhattan is a very smooth mellow sipper. Keep in mind this drink is basically alcohol. It is quite potent so proceed with caution.
