Book Notes 720 x 340 medium blue outline and medium blue pen _ Notes light blue (2)Do you ever find yourself comparing yourself to others? Do you let yourself feel less than when you compare yourself to others? When someone shares great news with you about about themselves or their family, do you smile on the outside and try to muster your best "I'm happy for you" while secretly cringing on the inside ?

Copy of -Faith opens us to the world of transcendent meaning and cosmic significance.-Author Kay Wills Wyma knows just how you feel and that's why she wrote her newest book,  I'm Happy for You (Sort Of...Not Really): Finding Contentment in a Culture of Comparison. Kay Blogs at The Moat Blog and is also the author of Cleaning House: A Mom's Twelve-Month Experiment to Rid Her Home of Youth Entitlement which I must get my hands on also!

I had the chance to read I'm Happy for You (Sort Of...Not Really) in exchange for an honest review and I'm incredibly glad I did!

As a woman and as a mom, the temptation of comparison hovers over me like a storm cloud, constantly waiting to rain on my parade and steal my joy.

I would say that I have suffered with what Kay calls, "OCD" - Obssesive Comparison Disorder", for most of my life. I've felt this especially in my earlier years of marriage and parenting when I had no clue what I was doing and felt like I was doing it all wrong - when I compared myself to what others did.

Kay and I had the chance to "Hangout" together and chat about her book and how to get out of the comparison traps. You can Listen to audio podcast interview here or watch the video podcast here

Head on over to the Simplemama blog to enter the Giveaway for I'm Happy for You (Sort Of...Not Really): Finding Contentment in a Culture of Comparison October 7 - October 14.

How have you overcome the temptation to constantly compare?
