Have you or someone you love experienced the pain of infant loss? The Embrace Ministry is holding its third annual Remembrance and Healing Walk Sunday, October 25th for anyone who would like to remember a child lost due to miscarriage, still born or early infant loss.
Free registration starts at 2:30 pm and the walk begins at 3:00 in the St. Rose Mc-Carthy School parking lot behind St. Brigids Church in Hanford, California. The walk will end at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with a butterfly release in the Garden of Life. You may order a butterfly to release at the Garden of Life for a donation of $5. For information and to register please call 559-537-5728 or email CentralCalifornia@allembrace.c
We are a non-profit program and our mission is to provide God's embrace to all. Embrace is there for families who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. Our goal is to surround these families with help and support. Embrace is an act of helping these families embrace the loss of their child through acknowledgement and respect while continuing on with life. We provide comfort, and give them knowledge of their options.
We hold three main events each year. At the Memorial Mass in May we light candles as the names of our children are read and entered into the Book of Life. During the walk in October we release butterflies to remember our babies. We gather to make Christmas Ornament in December. We also offer tiles that can be personalized and placed on the grotto of Our Lady of Fatima statue in the Garden of Life.
