I wouldn't exactly call myself a "foodie", but there is definitely something about traveling to a new country that makes me more experimental with my somewhat "discerning" (a better word than "picky") palate. I'm more willing to try new things. In Colombia, doing this helped me to discover some amazing new treats!
I thought it would be fun to share a few of the amazing restaurants we visited, some of the great dishes we sampled, and of course a few new beloved beverages too! To sample the empanada recipe we enjoyed in Colombia (and other meatless recipes), check out the CRS Rice Bowl website.
Here--in no particular order--are some of my favorite Foodie Moments from our #CRSMedia mission. To view the individual photos, hover your cursor over the image and use the arrows on the side of the photos to advance. Click on the photos to read a description of the photo and learn more about the food being shared.
Please join me in praying through the intercession of Colombia’s patrons Our Lady of Chiquinquirá, St. Louis Bertrand, and St. Peter Claver in gratitude for the success and safety of our journey.
