Catholic Radio Show Celebrates Living Icons

Hosted by Twin Franciscan Friars, ICONS Impact Airs First Show This Week

We’re breathing fresh air into Catholic Radio! Through a partnership with Relevant Radio in Newark, the ICONS team is offering its young Catholic voice to radio listeners. ICONS Impact is a celebration of people doing amazing things because of their love for God.

The creative team behind ICONS is led by two young Franciscan Friars, twin Brothers Angelus and Innocent Montgomery, CFR (Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, based in Yonkers, New York). The brothers, who call themselves “twin brothers by birth, religious brothers by choice,” are seminarians who are passionate about sharing the Gospel.

“Our desire is to create a vibrant, refreshing Catholic radio show. We’re reaching out to younger audiences by showing them how their peers are living the Gospel message in exciting new ways — ways that are relevant to their own time and in their own communities.” explains Brother Innocent. “The Gospel is not boring!” he insists, “We want to share that message in ways that honor how compelling Jesus really is!”

Each episode of ICONS Impact will feature an interview with a living ICON- someone so infused with the love of God that they simply cannot help but to live their faith impactfully in the world.

Brother Angelus shares: “The good news of the Gospel impacts people from all walks of life. This show is about celebrating ordinary people: moms, dads, teachers, nurses, artists, and volunteers. People from all walks of life living their faith in simplicity, fidelity, and joy!”
