CatholicMom.com is now part of the Family – Holy Cross Family Ministries, that is. The popular website for Catholic parents, is now part of the ministry founded by sainthood candidate Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., well-known for his famous slogan, “The family that prays together stays together.”

Holy Cross Family Ministries (HCFM), with mission offices in 16 countries, will provide the support to grow CatholicMom.com globally.  With more than 100 contributors, CatholicMom.com provides information, activities and daily reflections on an array of relevant topics. Holy Cross Family Ministries offers prayer programs, digital media, daily prayers via email, Facebook and apps to encourage family prayer. CatholicMom.com’s community will enhance HCFM’s brands, Family Rosary and Family Theater Productions, all to more fully support the spiritual needs of families.

“I look forward to having the support of Holy Cross Family Ministries to continue to expand the mission of CatholicMom around the world,” said Lisa Hendey, who founded the website. “Father Willy Raymond and his team have the experience to grow our community and explore new directions to serve today’s young families worldwide.”

CatholicMom.com was started by Hendey to create a community for Catholics parents to share insights on living their faith with their family. The website has grown substantially over the years to become a rich resource for all Catholics seeking spiritual enrichment for their families.

“Over the years, Lisa and her contributors have done a remarkable job building an inspiring and impactful site for Catholic parents,” said Father Willy Raymond, C.S.C., President of Holy Cross Family Ministries. “CatholicMom is reaching the 21st century young Catholic family with faith, hope and love. We look forward to working with Lisa and all the contributors to make enhancements, grow the reach and engage more families.”

CatholicMom.com is driven by many talented contributors who share their relevant content to guide young parents. Hendey will stay on board as an advisor to help direct the growth of the website. She plans to step away from day-to-day operations to spend more time on writing projects.

In 2012, Ave Maria Press launched the CatholicMom.com Book series, building on the popularity of Lisa Hendey’s award-winning website and books “The Handbook for Catholic Moms” and a “Book of Saints for Catholic Moms.” Today there are 10 books in the series addressing a variety of family and parenting issues from a faith-filled perspective. “CatholicMom is a relevant and engaging site. It’s imperative that we maintain that rich essence,” said Father Raymond. “We’ll work closely with Lisa and the contributors as we get to know their followers and identify future opportunities to serve young families.”

About Father Willy Raymond, CSC: Father Willy Raymond, C.S.C. is the President of Holy Cross Family Ministries, a worldwide family of ministries founded by Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C. as Family Rosary and Family Theater Productions. Growing up in Maine in a family of 12 children, he was educated at Holy Cross institutions: Saint Joseph’s University in New Brunswick, Canada, Stonehill College and the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. He served in Campus Ministry and administration at Stonehill after Ordination in 1971, in Holy Cross leadership and in Hollywood as National Director of Family Theater Productions  for 14 years before returning to Easton to serve as President of Holy Cross Family Ministries in 2014. His work has brought him to five continents and most countries where Holy Cross Family Ministries promotes family spirituality and prayer.

About Servant of God Patrick Peyton: The founder of Holy Cross Family Ministries, Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., believed one of God’s greatest blessings is the family, and he believed the best way to support the family is through prayer – particularly daily Rosary prayer. He knew that the family is the foundation of society and when the family maintains a deep and healthy mutual love, this in turn strengthens the family of the church and the entire family of humanity.

Immediately after his ordination, Father Peyton began his ministry to families (1942) with the goal to build family unity through daily prayer. He was inspired by his own father John Peyton, who more than a century ago prayed the Rosary with his family in their poor but spiritually-rich home.

Father Peyton reached nearly 50 million people in his lifetime – and that mission continues today reaching millions each year through digital media and face-to-face programs.

Father Peyton’s Cause for Sainthood is underway. At this time, the Congregation for the Causes of Saints has reviewed the “Positio” and has forwarded it to the Holy Father for his review. Upon Pope Francis review, Father Peyton may be granted the title, “Venerable.”  www.FatherPeyton.org
