At the time, I didn't know that she was working on another book specifically designed for use at Adoration. New from Our Sunday Visitor, St. Faustina Prayer Book for Adoration is packed with prayers, devotions, and quotes from St. Faustina's diary that are particularly well-suited for Eucharistic Adoration. Tassone has organized these spiritual treasures by theme, so you can choose whatever topic is closest to your heart at a particular time. This is not a book to be read start to finish -- it's a compilation of prayer starters that will allow you to dedicate your Holy Hour, or even your short visit to the Blessed Sacrament, to the intention you choose. Some of my favorite treasures (yes, I already used that word but it's truly the best way to describe what's in this book):
  • A Rosary of Adoration (p. 40)
  • The Adoration Litany of Silence (p. 105)
  • Adoration with the Saints (p. 114)
  • St. Faustina's Seven Insights on Adoration (p. 171)
  • Seven Tips for Adoration (p. 173)
If you don't have a whole hour, you can still use this book! There's a whole chapter subtitled "Brief and One-Minute Acts of Adoration." So if you have a moment to stop by a church or chapel and (as my dad used to say when we were kids) "say hi to God," these prayers are for you. I also suggest choosing one of these prayers to use either before Mass or after receiving Communion. Some of them are very simple to memorize. You will also find two variation son the Stations of the Cross, some psalms that are particularly well-suited for Adoration, and prayers for all sorts of special intentions. I've added some post-it page markers to help me find my favorite sections quickly. This small-format book (it measures 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches) fits easily into your tote.
