"Through the eyes of my savior" by Ellen Mongan (CatholicMom.com) GFreihalter [CC BY-SA 3.0], from Wikimedia Commons[/caption]Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, A whining child as saying, “Please love Me.” As I hold my little son I remember the blessing he’s become. And thank the Lord for giving him to me. Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, A husband’s love as God’s love for me. As Christ loved the church Each day it’s my husband’s search, to love me as humbly. Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, Each person I meet as part of Thee. Their smile, help, or gentle touch. Reminds me you love me much - Because we form Christ’s body. Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, Each day a chance to serve Him faithfully. “His kingdom come” His will be done” Becomes my plea - Lord make me like Thee. Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, A trial as an opportunity to be set free. My weakness becomes my strength And darkness becomes light, As I walk in the Lord’s victory. Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, His love poured out for all on Calvary. A smile upon His face As He dies and leaves this place. Forgiving all totally. Through the eyes of Jesus I can see, Faith, hope and love eternally. A grace poured on believers all. For answering God’s call, As we serve Him righteously. Look through the eyes of Jesus and you too, Will see those same eyes looking back at you.
