Storytelling and the World Communications Day Message

On a recent episode of the Son Rise Morning Show, we discussed Pope Francis' recent release of the World Communications Day message in advance of that celebration later in the year. What really stands out for me is the pope's understanding of the power of story, of how integrally story weaves into our faith. How is God a storyteller? We take a look at the stories in the Old Testament, and at Jesus as the ultimate storyteller. This is not a message just meant for people in the communications field. Are you ready to share the story of how God has worked in your life?

I'm really convicted about the fact that God made us all storytellers. Children can understand that God created them in a special way, and when we point them to biblical or saintly storytellers, and emphasize that they don't have to be grown up to tell people about their story, it empowers them.
