Compassionate God, we come to you with our fears in this time of global crisis. Calm us as you calmed the storm at sea. Help us to remember that in the seeming immensity of our troubles, you still hold each of us in the palm of your hand. You never forget us. You never abandon us. Provide your healing touch to those who suffer. Bless, too, their caregivers and those charged with public safety. May all on the front lines of this pandemic be guided by wisdom, hope and resolve. May we rise to the challenge of this moment with grace and courage. May this crisis bring out the best in us. May we be patient. May we be kind. And may our faith in you outweigh our uncertainty. We ask this in your most holy name. Amen.
