- Have you ever experienced something good coming out of something you initially thought was bad? Did it change your perception at all?
- Do you have an example of a time when you chose yourself over God? How did it feel? How did you come out of that?
- Kai encourages us to think about the worst moments of our lives and imagine God there with us. How does it feel to imagine God sharing that moment with you?
Reflection by Father Vince Kuna, C.S.C.Think of the worst moment of your life. Then think of the worst moment or moments in world history that occurred within your lifetime. If you’re young and/or maybe not a history buff, ask someone older who has an appreciation for history. Know that the world has endured suffering and moved through it. Try now to imagine personal suffering within the perspective of the bigger picture. If time allows, try reading through the Book of Job. Pay special attention to God giving Job a tour of the cosmos, and Job gaining better perspective on his personal suffering.
