The Mary Mother of the Church Chapter of the Father Peyton Guild invites you to join us in praying the Rosary on May 1 as we answer the call of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops to consecrate the USA and Canada to our Blessed Mother.

According to the USCCB, Archbishop José H. Gomez, president of the USCCB, will lead a brief liturgy with the prayer of re-consecration on Friday, May 1 at 3 PM Eastern and has invited the bishops to join in from their respective dioceses and asked them to extend the invitation to the faithful in their dioceses for their participation. A liturgy guide will be available to assist the faithful who may join in by tuning into the USCCB’s social media platforms: FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.

We invite you to pray along with your local diocese on that date, in union with this national efforts. You may also wish to join the livestream of the Rosary from the Father Peyton Center in Easton, Massachusetts at 11:30 AM Eastern on the Family Rosary Facebook page.

The Congregation of Holy Cross broadcasts live from the Peyton Center the Rosary at 11:30 AM Eastern, followed by Mass at noon, Monday through Friday. Please spread the word and invite others to join us on May 1 and on any weekday; you can even set up a watch party on Facebook and invite friends near and far. Together let us lift our voices with confidence to our Blessed Mother, asking for her intercession and protection during this pandemic.

Father Patrick Peyton placed his entire life at the feet of the Blessed Mother after placing all of his trust in her when the doctors had determined his medical situation was hopeless. As Father Peyton said in his autobiography, All for Her, “She did not disappoint, and never has she abandoned me!” Let us turn to the Blessed Mother with the same confidence as Father Peyton! As he could not have predicted all of the wonderful work and blessings that resulted from this time in his life, neither can we understand now what graces God will bestow on his faithful. We can rely on the Blessed Mother to be our Ark – our refuge – during this uncertain time when the sacraments are removed from our day-to-day life as Catholics.

If you have any special intentions, please email them to me at dwyerm88@yahoo.com, and we will be sure to have them included in the Rosary intentions at Family Rosary on May 1.
