My reflections are based on the *Catechism of the Catholic Church,* paragraphs 544, 2546 and 2547. **Other podcasts of related interest:** [AW Espresso Shot #36](https://amongwomenpodcast.com/2020/01/04/among-women-espresso-shot-36-the-beatitudes-an-overview/): The Beatitudes — an overview [AW 199](https://amongwomenpodcast.com/2015/11/30/among-women-podcast-beatitude-being-like-jesus/): Beatitude = Being Like Jesus [AW 92](https://amongwomenpodcast.com/2011/03/17/aw-92-special-edition-the-bible-you/): The Bible and You !["Among Women" by Pat Gohn (CatholicMom.com)](http://catholicmom.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Among-Women-.-CM-Size.png) Copyright 2018 Pat Gohn. ### Share this article [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Famong-women-espresso-shot-blessed-are-the-poor-in-spirit%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Famong-women-espresso-shot-blessed-are-the-poor-in-spirit%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Famong-women-espresso-shot-blessed-are-the-poor-in-spirit%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=Among%20Women%20Espresso%20Shot%3A%20Blessed%20Are%20the%20Poor%20in%20Spirit) [![Share on Email](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/email-24x24.png)](mailto:?subject=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Famong-women-espresso-shot-blessed-are-the-poor-in-spirit%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail%20&body=Check%20out%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.catholicmom.com%2Farticles%2Famong-women-espresso-shot-blessed-are-the-poor-in-spirit%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Demail) ** #### About the Author ![Pat Gohn](https://www.catholicmom.com/hubfs/_catholicmom/Contriubutors/PAT%20GOHN.jpeg) ### [Pat Gohn](https://www.catholicmom.com/articles/author/pat-gohn) Pat Gohn is a married empty-nester with three adult children and four grandchildren.
