To overcome all loneliness, heartache and fear, Debra Black offers a personal meditation on the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary.

Our Christian faith began when Mary accepted God’s call through its annunciation by the angel Gabriel. The Son of God became incarnate, and His project of our salvation began. This comes full circle in the Easter season, 50 days of celebrating His Resurrection and Ascension into Heaven.

All of this God did personally for us. He wishes to heal you of loneliness, heartache and fear. In this Easter season, and as we celebrate the month of Mary, don’t be afraid to make the Rosary personal too.

The Glorious Mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Begin with the sign of the Cross, the Apostles Creed, and the Our Father prayer. On the three Hail Mary beads, offer intentions for our Holy Father the Pope, for an increase in Faith, Hope, and Love, and your personal intentions.

The First Glorious Mystery:
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Meditation: Jesus, my Lord and Savior, personally loves me so much that He conquered sin and death just so that I may spend eternity in Heaven with Him.

And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:30-33)

And she said yes.

Pray the Our Father and 10 Hail Mary’s. Along with each Hail Mary, you may wish to repeat the meditation for yourself or loved ones.

Complete the decade with:

  • All Glory Be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
  • The Fatima prayer: Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven especially those in most need of thy mercy.
  • And for parents, the prayer of St. Louise de Marillac: "With these beads I bind my children to your Immaculate Heart."

The Second Glorious Mystery:
The Ascension of Jesus Christ into Heaven

Meditation: Jesus, my Lord and Savior, so wants me personally to be with Him in Heaven for eternity that, through HIs Sacred Humanity, my broken humanity will be purified and one day brought into Heaven with Him.

"For with God nothing is impossible." (Luke 1:37)

And she said yes.

Repeat the same prayers as above. Along with each Hail Mary, you may wish to first pray the meditation for yourself or loved ones.

The Third Glorious Mystery:
The Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost

Meditation: Jesus, my Lord and Savior, personally loves me so much that He sends down His Spirit upon me every moment of every breath, so that I might begin to experience Divine Intimacy with Him now and fully forever in eternity.

And the angel said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

And she said yes.

Repeat the same prayers as above. Along with each Hail Mary, you may wish to first pray the meditation for yourself or loved ones.

The Fourth Glorious Mystery:
The Assumption of Mary into Heaven

Meditation: Mary, my mother, personally loves me so much that, assumed into Heaven, she chooses to be with me every moment of every breath so that I will never be alone and will always feel the love of a mother.

And he came to her and said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" (Luke 1:28)

And she said yes.

Repeat the same prayers as above. Along with each Hail Mary, you may wish to first pray the meditation for yourself or loved ones.

The Fifth Glorious Mystery:
The Crowning of Mary as Queen over Heaven and Earth

Meditation: God my Father personally loves me so much that He brought Mary into Heaven so that she could be with me in every moment of every breath, protecting me under her mantle, holding me close to her side.

And she said yes.

And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts, he has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his posterity for ever." (Luke 1:46-55)

Repeat the same prayers as above. Along with each Hail Mary, you may wish to first pray the meditation for yourself or loved ones.

Closing Prayers

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then most gracious Advocate thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the Blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, oh Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray: Oh God, whose only-begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life; grant, we beseech thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

(invoke the names of any saints and angels you wish, followed by “pray for us”)

May the divine assistance remain always with us. And may the souls of the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Amen!
