I can’t recommend the Caitlin and Peter's Rosary Adventures series by Theresa Linden enough. It is a treasure for families to help teach their children about the beauty of the Rosary and the complexities of the Mysteries.

Each book explores a different mystery of the Rosary through the eyes of youngsters, Peter and Caitlyn. While Peter has trouble paying attention when their families pray the Rosary, Caitlyn is enthusiastic but has some unanswered questions. Gliding to Glory, the third book in the series, focuses on the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary.

When these friends are mystically transported to Jesus’ time, they are able to witness the mysteries in person as they try to decipher the meanings and virtues of each decade of the Rosary. I have enjoyed the character growth through the series, especially how Peter becomes excited to learn more and participate in the family prayers more eagerly.

Peter and Caitlyn’s Rosary adventures are fun and will keep kids entertained while teaching so much about Jesus, Mary, and our rich Catholic faith.

The final decade in Gliding to Glory, The Crowning of Mary, was so beautiful and full of amazing lessons that I will probably never think of that decade ever the same again. Linden does such a wonderful job of highlighting that all we do in this life and how we treat others are vitally important — an important lesson for all members of the family.

Anyone with young children should make this series a part of their at-home library. And, as an added benefit for when your youngsters grow into teens, the characters of Peter and Caitlyn appear as teens in Linden’s The West Brothers series.
