Elaine Sinnott shares how Eucharistic miracles are scientific proofs God has given us to help us understand the mystery of the Eucharist.

The heart showed signs of being under severe stress.

In Buenos Aires, Argentina:

On March 2, 2004, samples [of the bleeding consecrated host] were brought to New York for analysis by Dr. Frederic Zugibe, a famous cardiologist and forensic pathologist at Columbia University. He was not told what the sample was. Zugibe found that the sample was heart muscle near the left ventricle. It was inflamed and had white blood cells, meaning the heart was alive and pumping when the sample was taken. The heart showed signs of being under severe stress. When told that the sample came from a consecrated Host, Zugibe was speechless. (NCRegister.com; emphasis added)

In Lanciano, Italy, after over 500 separate investigations from the sample of a consecrated host that turned into flesh, it was determined:

The flesh has the same structure as heart tissue (myocardium) and the membrane of tissue lining cardiac cavities (endocardium). The flesh was also discovered as being fresh, as opposed to 1,200 years old, with no trace of preservatives. And the globules of blood were also of human origin and determined to be of type AB. Further, while blood taken from a cadaver would deteriorate quickly, these samples continued to maintain the same properties of fresh blood. (StMike.org)

These are just two of many Eucharistic miracles that have been recorded in the past 2,000 years.

“This saying is hard; who can accept it?” (John 6:60)

Jesus tells us,

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?’

Jesus said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him."  (John 6:52-56)

"Then many of his disciples who were listening said, 'This saying is hard; who can accept it?'(John 6:60, emphasis added). "As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him." (John 6:66, emphasis added)

Jesus does not run after these disciples saying, “Wait! I was only speaking symbolically. You don’t actually have to eat my flesh.” No, He lets them choose to leave because He cannot change His words. He cannot change the Truth.

Yes, this teaching is difficult to accept! Many, many Catholics also struggle with this. But this is why the Lord has granted us miracles to remind us, like the Eucharistic miracles of Buenos Aires and Lanciano. To strengthen our faith. Even Satanists know Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist; that is why they go to Catholic churches to try and profane the Eucharist.

“I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

What if God has given you so much more on earth to help you along this journey to Heaven than what you have?

What if one of those things missing is the biggest gift He’s made available to you and your soul is starving because you don’t actually have it?

The Eucharist is this!

I want you to receive everything I have received from Jesus, and more! Including Himself PHYSICALLY.

Jesus gave us these words in Matthew 28:20, and He literally meant He’d be with us physically until the end of time.

Our Lord desperately wants to be united to you wholly in His Church.

Dear reader, I love you. Come home where the Bread of the Living God waits for you.

This eternal Bread from Heaven sustains me in my marriage and my motherhood. Because of Our Lord’s gift of the Eucharist, I’m not only able to survive as a mother of seven, a homeschooler, and a military wife, but I’m able to thrive! By receiving the True Food and True Drink (John 6:55), my soul never starves, and I receive every grace the Lord has for me to live out my vocation.

I pray for this for you and your life as well. To know the joy that comes with this most Precious Gift.

His love for you is so intimate that He is waiting for you daily to approach this Supper of the Lamb and give Himself to you, individually, every single day.
