Holy Cross Family Ministries, along with the Congregation of Holy Cross, invite you and your family to pray with us in a Global Rosary for Peace.
As our world continues to long for peace, unity, and hope, the Congregation of Holy Cross and Holy Cross Family Ministries (which includes Catholic Mom) warmly invites you to join us for the Global Rosary for Peace on Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Feast of Saint John Paul II.
Inspired by the mission of Venerable Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., who reminded the world that “A world at prayer is a world at peace,” this annual event brings together families, parishes, schools, religious communities, and Catholic organizations from across the globe to pray for peace through a live Rosary.
A Moving Witness to the Universality of Our Faith
Last year, participants from 18 countries on six continents united in prayer during a beautiful worldwide livestream. Ministry Centers, schools, and parishes prepared prayer segments in their native languages, creating a moving witness to the universality of our Catholic faith. More than 67,800 people joined us for the livestream from all over the world, and we were honored to share a special message from the Vatican.

This year, we invite your family or parish to become part of this global movement of prayer. If your children or grandchildren attend Catholic school or are part of a homeschool consortium, consider sharing this event! You can register at PrayForPeace.org, and see the worldwide map which demonstrates where schools, parishes, and families will be joining us live. Our goal is to enlist 250,000 people to pray together for peace on this day!
Children and adults from 19 countries will once again lead the Rosary from six continents, praying the Luminous Mysteries in multiple languages. Together we will entrust our hearts, our families, our communities, and our world to Our Lady, Queen of Peace.
Pray a Novena in Preparation for the Global Rosary for Peace
Finally, our international Ministry Centers and partners in mission are joining us in a nine-week novena, which begins August 20. This 9-week novena began a 63-day worldwide prayer journey leading up to the Global Rosary for Peace on October 22nd. Each day highlights a holy man or woman who stood in the gap to defend the faith, marriage, and the home. Through their inspiring witnesses and daily Rosary reflections, families across six continents are invited to reclaim the domestic church and discover that lasting peace in our world begins around the kitchen table.

Invite Your Friends, Parish, and School to Pray With Us
We invite your family to let these great witnesses inspire your prayer, and to invite everyone you know to pray for peace on the feast day of Saint John Paul the Great. Every Catholic on earth is being called to pray for peace.
If you have questions, please email Margaret Dwyer Hogan. Posters, bulletin announcements and a press release are prepared and ready for distribution to encourage families to register for the event on October 22, and we would be happy to share them with you.
May Our Lady, Queen of Peace, watch over you and your family.
