New, free formation guides from the Pauline Media Studies Initiative equip Catholics to navigate AI with fidelity to Church teaching.
In response to the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, the Daughters of St. Paul, through their Pauline Media Studies initiative, recently unveiled CatholicFaithAI.com, a comprehensive online resource hub offering downloadable formation guides on the Catholic perspective of AI. Developed in collaboration with Fr. Ricky Manalo, CSP, of the Paulist Fathers, the site provides practical tools for ministry leaders, educators, and faithful exploring AI's role in liturgy, evangelization, preaching, media literacy education, catechesis, relationships, and Catholic Social Teaching.

What Will You Find on CatholicFaithAI.com?
The platform addresses the Church's urgent call to integrate emerging technologies ethically, drawing from key documents like Antiqua et Nova from the Dicasteries for the Doctrine of the Faith and Culture and Education, as well as recent papal messages on AI’s potential and perils. Users can access ready-to-use guides designed for individual or group study complete with discussion prompts, reflections on Church teaching, prayer practices, and a curated library of links to magisterial resources, scholarly articles, and ethical frameworks regarding AI.
The AI explosion is happening, and the Church has something to say about it. This resource platform is to help Catholics engage with these new technologies as critical inquirers but also as bold proclaimers of Christ. All technology can be used for the Gospel if done so with reflection and examination, considering human dignity and ethics.
Father Ricky Manalo, CSP, a renowned liturgist, composer, and pastoral theologian, who collaborated on the development of the site, says,
In conversations with parents, ministers, and Church leaders across the country, one thing is clear: artificial intelligence isn’t a distant possibility anymore. It’s already shaping how we live, minister, and relate to one another. So how do we approach it as people of faith? CatholicFaithAI.com offers a trusted space where we can reflect, learn, and engage AI thoughtfully and responsibly, keeping human dignity and the Gospel at the center.
For those Catholics who are unsure about these technologies, Sister Hosea Rupprecht, Associate Director of Pauline Media Studies, assures,
Catholic Faith & AI site presents a balanced look at AI, informed by Catholic theology and practice. We don’t have to fear AI but learn how to use it well and ethically. The formation guides provided can facilitate that learning.
How to Access CatholicFaithAI.com
CatholicFaithAI.com is free to access, with no registration required, making it an immediate resource for parishes, schools, dioceses, and individuals. Topics include safeguarding human dignity amid AI advancements, ethical media use, and applying Catholic Social Teaching to digital innovation — all aligned with the Holy See’s emphasis on responsible stewardship of technology.
