The conclave to elect a new pope will begin Wednesday, May 7. Here are two ways to keep the cardinals and the Church in your prayers.

It was announced this morning that the conclave to elect the new pope will begin Wednesday, May 7The College of Cardinals will meet in the Sistine Chapel for prayer, meditation, and voting.

We can all pray for the upcoming conclave, that the cardinals will be guided by the Holy Spirit as they elect a new pope.

Pray a Novena for the Conclave

PrayMoreNovenas.com will begin a novena for the Papal Conclave tomorrow, April 29. The novena prayers are already available on PrayMoreNovenas.com, and you can also sign up to receive daily emails with the novena prayers. This novena is a simple prayer, not a heavy lift.

You can also remember the upcoming conclave and the cardinals in your daily Rosary or other prayers.

Keep a Cardinal in Your Prayers

You can also pray for an individual cardinal. PrayCardinal.com is offering an "Adopt a Cardinal" random generator that will assign a cardinal to you so you can keep him in your prayers as the conclave approaches. Consider adopting a cardinal as a family, or if your children are older, allow each of them to select a cardinal to keep in prayers.
