Today's Gospel: Mark 5:1-20
We are rarely dealing with only one negative thing. The tormented man said, “there are many of us [demons].” Difficulties, anxieties, sin, and other things become knotted together and difficult to untangle. How often do we think if only we could overcome this ONE thing, things would be better? Or, perhaps, if only my loved one would: stop drinking, come back to the faith, find love . . . Perhaps, we should submit our concerns for all that is controlling us, and the ones we love, by following the man’s example:
“What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?”
Let God, through the intercession of Mary Undoer of Knots, work out the details.
Ponder:
What issues seem tangled up in your life or the lives of your loved ones today?
Pray:
Dearest Mother Mary, we entrust the undoing of the knots in our lives, the tangles of issues, through your intercession, to Jesus. Help us to let go and let God.
