Daily Gospel Reflection for March 3, 2022

Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: Luke 9:22-25

As a mom of grown children, this Gospel reading touches my heart. I have tried to encourage my kids to seek the things of God and pursue the goal of heaven. That teaching is often challenged by the world. My kids are challenged by the need for financial stability, pleasures and distractions of the world, and the need for recognition. The most important way I can counter these messages is to make sure that my children know that I really see them. I need to help them know that their struggles are shared, pleasure can be fleeting and to remind them that God, their Creator, sees them most clearly. These are good reminders for me as well.

Ponder:

What worldly concern or desire threatens my quest for the things of God above all else?

Pray:

Lord, help me to resist the temptations and distractions of this world that may get in the way of seeking a life with You.
