Today's Gospel: Mark 10:46-52
Sometimes when we are in darkness, it’s hard to find our way. We are blinded spiritually and often sit not knowing what to do. Our friends may encourage us to persevere through the depressive state – to “have courage and get up” even though the bed beneath us is the only thing that feels stable.
Yet we continue to move forward encouraged by those around us, even in the darkness and unsure of the way. And in this difficulty we cry out all the more for our Lord to help.
Ponder:
Think of a time when you felt lost spiritually or maybe you are in that season now. Who helped you to have courage? Were you able to formulate a prayer or only a cry from your heart?
Pray:
Lord, increase in me my dependence on You when I cannot find the way. Call to me to come to You when I’m blind to the next step.
