Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.
Today's Gospel: Matthew 9:32-38
While Jesus was preaching of the Kingdom, He was also performing miracles. He cured "every disease and illness," (verse 35) and also cast out demons. We can pray that He will cast out any demons that we're facing in our lives and any temptations.
In verse 36, it is as if He were talking about our world, "like sheep without a shepherd." If we accept that our faith, and the victory at the end of this life, will overcome the sad state of affairs in our world, we won't be so anxious.
At the end of this Gospel, there is a call for laborers. We can all do our part because we are each unique in our gifts from the Holy Spirit. Each one of us has a mission here on earth, whether it is to be the best wife and mother, to pray outside an abortion clinic, to teach catechism, or to help the neighbor next door.
We can make a difference.
Ponder:
How often do we let the world determine our outlook, rather than Christ's teachings?
Pray:
Dear Lord, please help me to rely on my faith, rather than social media, to shape my days. Help me to focus on You.
