Join us as we reflect, ponder, and pray together inspired by today's Gospel.

Today's Gospel: John 6:37-40

Today’s Gospel, reminds us that God respects our free will. While He wants us to seek Him out, He recognizes our humanness and will not force Himself on us. Yet Jesus says to us that He will not reject anyone who comes to Him.

I think about those who have lived a life of sin, or have turned away from God. Even in the final moment, if we turn to Him, He will not reject us. I think of those I know who have turned away, and I continually pray for their conversion so that God will soften their hearts.

Today, on the feast of the commemoration of all the faithful departed of all souls, we pray for those who have gone before us, those in heaven, and those who are still in purgatory. God gives us the hope that we will all be reunited to Him if we seek Him out. It is also on this day we ask our Blessed Mother to free many souls from purgatory so that they may be purified and begin eternity in heaven. We should also pray for all souls here on earth, that more can have a conversion of heart.

In the end, let us return to God’s will, for His plan is much greater than ours.

Ponder:

How can we be open to God’s will rather than our own will?

Pray:

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine up on them. May they rest in eternal glory. Blessed Mother, spread the effect of grace of thy Flame of Love over all humanity, now and at the our of our death.
