As I read this passage of scripture, it immediately reminded me of the change in how we respond to the invitation to Communion. I remember the first time my response was "Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof." I kept wondering why they changed it. What was wrong with, "I am not worthy?" At this point in time, there are people who don't have a roof. Do I sometimes take things in the scripture too literally? Sometimes I don't feel that I am worthy to even ask God for help when so many others are in greater need than I. This Gospel reminds me no matter how unworthy I am, Jesus wants to heal me and those I love from afflictions and challenges - He is simply waiting for me to ask.   #### Ponder:   We are children of the King.
