I've never had the pleasure of meeting Angela Faddis in person, but when I learned of the tremendous battle this Catholic wife and mom of two is currently engaged in, my heart was so moved for her. Angela, a lovely young mom, was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Colorectal Cancer which has spread to her liver. Angela's best friend and husband Chris Faddis, an amazing Catholic author and speaker, has devoted much of his life to bringing others to Christ. It seemed only fitting to me that we should all, as that Body of Christ, collectively gather together to support this family during their time of greatest need.

Angela's case is very advanced, and so an immediate and critical health protocol is needed. To make this possible, the Faddis family and their friends are encircling Angela with love and action. Love, in the form of prayers and encouragement, action in the form of an immediate and wide spread fundraising effort. Why -- in a time when we're being bombarded by constant pleas for help at every turn -- offer a small sacrificial gift to help Angela? I can't think of any more compelling reason than that offered by her loving husband Chris:

All I can say is that as Angela's husband I am desperate for a way to help her heal from this cancer. I desperately desire for her to be cured of this. We have two children, Gianna, who is four and Augustine who is two. The reasons why our children need their mother are many. We all need her. We can't imagine life without her.

Please visit Angela's website today and consider a small (or large!) donation to help Angela Faddis. If each of my Facebook and Twitter contacts donated the price of a Starbucks coffee, we'd have the Faddis family well along the way to helping Angela heal and continue her Catholic wife and mom vocation blanketed in love and support from around the country.
