Small Success Thursday: Back to School Edition

Small Success Thursday

School starts for most of my kids next week. We’ve bought school supplies, I’ve done the haircuts and we are slowly going through the uniforms. The backpacks are stationed at the door. Lunch bags have been washed. All the paperwork got turned in yesterday…I think.

So the past seven days have been something of a blur. I know we had seven days from the last small Success Thursday, but it took all of my summer brain’s power to recognize what had been done this week that might be worthy of celebrating.

1) Had a date night (just milkshakes out) with husband.
2) Organized daughter for first day of school, attended orientation mass.
3) Applied for a job as a writer in the Arch Diocese of DC (Pray for me).
4) Helped three of the five children in the elementary school to finish their work.

Now I have to persuade the procrastinators that time is up, and books must be read, reports done and all things packed before next Monday!
