Small Success Thursday: Date Night

Sometimes, joy seems to snow and blanket the world. This was my week.

My home had my college student son move out, plus the teens and the kids except for the two babies, started school. The house got quiet. It was surreal.

Additionally, we had the rare experience of two date nights this past weekend, one to a party and one to dinner out.

Lastly (and I have been sitting on this one), the book I’ve been writing for 5 years on Helen of Troy was accepted for publication! Expected publication date is May of 2013. I promise to think clearly some time before then but for now, I feel something between punch drunk and exploding with joy.

Lastly, it was the week of my friend’s memorial mass so I got to go and pray (in between chasing after my two toddlers who enjoyed their freedom in the back of the church) for her memory. She probably enjoyed that too.
