This week on [CatholicMom.com's CM Hangout Podcast](http://catholicmom.com/author/cmpodcast/), co-hosts [Lisa Hendey](http://catholicmom.com/author/lhendey/) and [Sarah Reinhard](http://catholicmom.com/author/sreinhard/) welcome CatholicMom.com contributor [Tami Kiser](http://catholicmom.com/author/tkiser/), a.k.a. "[Smart Martha](http://www.smartmartha.com/)".  Today, Tami shared her "Smart Martha tips" for preparing for Advent and Christmas without having panic attack.

**THANK YOU to Sarah Reinhard for sponsoring this episode – again! **

Sarah sponsored the show today in honor of Mary and her book, [Word by Word: Slowing Down with the Hail Mary](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1594716404/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1594716404&linkCode=as2&tag=simplemama-20&linkId=5DFHV65ZZXJVRJZT)![](https://www.catholicmom.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/ir-461.gif?width=1&height=1&name=ir-461.gif). [Word by Word](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1594716404/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1594716404&linkCode=as2&tag=simplemama-20&linkId=5DFHV65ZZXJVRJZT) is now available from [Ave Maria Press](https://www.avemariapress.com/) (and from your local Catholic bookstore or online at your favorite book retailer). In it, Sarah Reinhard has gathered 40 different voices to take a look at why every word — from the “Hail” right down to every single “The” — is a critical part of this prayer. So often, we all tend to whip through the Hail Mary and rattle it off without really considering what we’re praying and saying. This book is sure to make you reconsider the prayer and, hopefully, draw you closer to the Blessed Mother and, through her, to Jesus. Be sure to check the show notes and order your copy today!

You can [read more about Sarah and her book here](http://sarahreinhard.com/my-books/word-by-word-slowing-down-with-the-hail-mary/) and check out [what others are saying about it](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1594716404/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1594716404&linkCode=as2&tag=simplemama-20&linkId=5DFHV65ZZXJVRJZT)! Thank you again, Sarah, for your support for CatholicMom.com and the CM Hangout.
