Easter is 50 days long. A 50-day season to celebrate the joy of the Resurrection and imagine what life will be like once we are surrounded by the glory of God. The new film, I Can Only Imagine, would be a great way to mark the occasion.
Be forewarned, I Can Only Imagine is pretty heavy. The story of Bart Millard, lead singer of Mercy Me and his tumultuous childhood could very well strike a nerve in you, but isn’t that what good art should do? Whether you suffered abandonment, abuse, the loss of dreams, or a loved one who doesn’t believe in God, this movie will give you hope.
Read a synopsis of the film and see the trailer. I had Bart Millard on the phone for about 15 minutes and got to dive into what it was like to see the movie about his own life come together.
