The movie is based on the TV series "Our Faith in Action: Today's Society of St. Vincent de Paul." The program follows SVdP members on their spiritual growth journey through service to people and families in need. From the Society's traditional assistance with food, rent and utilities to innovative health care, education and mentoring programs, the Society's members, known as Vincentians, see the face of Christ in the people they encounter. "The movie shows that the charism and spirit of St. Vincent is still alive 400 years after his time," said SVdP National CEO Dave Barringer. "It gives people the opportunity to learn more about us and our work. The film illustrates a wide range of Society activities and shows the innovation present throughout the Society around the United States. The movie is a national, positive statement of how our faith is still such a force for good in our communities and lives today."
