Our faith teaches us that despite life's hurts and disappointments, we can have courage through our Lord Jesus Christ. The gifts we receive as Catholics in the Sacraments of the Church give us the grace to live for God, to have hope, and continue on our journey toward Heaven. Wherever you need healing in your life  whether from family issues, work-related problems or health God's desire is for your healing. There are an array of areas which affect our lives. Money issues, emotional and mental health challenges, or even lack of faith can affect the healing process.
We must not wait to be perfect before responding to the Lord who calls us, but rather open our hearts to hear his voice. (Pope Francis)

Being Perfect

We live in a world which has a distorted view of perfection. When it comes to healing, it is important to address the fact that life will never be perfect. We know that in Scripture there are words speaking to us about being "perfect as our Father is perfect." Knowng this fact can help us to emulate the Lord as we strive to being loving, forgiving, kind, and in seeking Justice for the oppressed of our world. We know we are doing God's will and strive for His perfection when we: love God first, care for the poor, and believe and live a "pro-life mentality" honoring and protecting human life at all stages. There is much more to it than these three points above, however it's a good starting ground for us to ponder. Prayer for Healing

Whether you're suffering right now, praying for a friend in need, or have a desire to heal from the past, here's a prayer for you:
Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for the gift of your presence in my life. Thank you for loving me and thank you for loving all of your creation. I know you love me, Lord. Lord, I come to you humbly asking for your healing presence in my life continually on this journey toward Heaven. Help me to love as you love, to see as you see, and to act as you act to bring peace to the world. Lord, heal any deep wounds in my soul and in my body.  I pray for all of my friends and family who need your help, and help me to help others in a greater way. Most of all, Lord, help me to be more grateful for the way you're already acting in my life even before this prayer that I'm saying. I want to do your will, and I want to devote my life to you both now and forever. We ask this in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
